This advice is for all members of the University:
Food waste: all communal kitchens and coffee rooms should now have small blue food waste bins that are emptied daily. Because it is an industrial-scale commercial composting process it can cope with:
- Cooked and uncooked food waste, including tea-bags, coffee grounds, fruit peelings, sandwiches, meat etc.
- Paper plates, wooden stirrers, napkins and tissues and even compostable packaging (if it is, it will say so on the label)
